Introduction and basic tools of design and event planning.
PURPOSEThis course provides the student with an approximation to the expertise of the organization of events, characteristics, types and management. Organize events is an activity related to the field of contemporary communication. Each event, according to its characteristics, requires a specific type of organization. The tour of the course the student will know what the role of the event organizer, their participation in teams and how to manage, plan and design events of all kinds: cultural, scientific, social, sports.
The organization of events: concepts, classification, typologies. Event organizer: The role of the professional. Events and communication. Customers, public communication tools. Event planning. Identity attributes of an event. The corporate image through events. Space, Atmosphere and decoration. Events institutional, corporate or business. New Channels, Online events.

This course is located within the main axis of the race, called Event Organization. The axis continues to subject Organization Events II (022 117) , which provides students with an approach to knowledge organization-specific business events: their characteristics, types and management; Organization Events III (022 141) , which provide the tools to plan, manage and design fairs, exhibitions and festivals linked to the cultural and social world, and Event Management IV (022190) , which provides the tools to plan, manage and design mega events, preparing the professional to solve unexpected situations.

It is time for BAY Positives 4th Annual Spring Fundraising Event! This event is to benefit the Bay Area Young Positives (BAY Positives) to help us fulfill our mission of helping young people, 26 and under, living with HIV/AIDS to live longer, happier, healthier, more productive and quality-filled lives.
At the last years event, BAY Positives raised $8,000 to support our programs and services. These services include emotional support (counseling and support groups), case management, education, outreach, retreats, and social events. To date, BAY Positives has served nearly 500 HIV-positive young people
