The TIME event team introduces itself:
Sandra Gebhard, PR Manager Internal Corporate Communications What you wanted to be before? Locksmith, like my father. In kindergarten I have other children with whom I had a fight, so referenced in their place, that I told them that my father would build a big iron ball and they include it if they did not let me alone. This has often made a great impression. What do you do now? I care about the team here, among other things, the internal communication. In this function I inform colleagues about the important issues of the house and organize internal events. At Easter, for example, have all the colleagues from Berlin and Hamburg looking for Easter eggs together, the response was huge and everyone had a lot of fun. What do you do when you are not working at TIME publisher? Highlight of my day waiting for me when I get my almost two year old son from daycare fetch afternoon. Then we go to the playground or in the garden, to the gym or the pool. No matter what, the main thing we spend time together. What is your favorite event of TIME publishing group? Each year on 1 Advent takes place the ceremony of Marion Dönhoff price in Hamburg. This event we have all stated firmly in the calendar, and it has been for many years always a special moment for me, when we all meet early in the morning playhouse and begin preparations.

Hapshash and the Coloured Coat

providedLate in 1966 the London underground newspaper International Times held a launch party for their new paper. After the success of that event the promoters opened their own underground club, the UFO. Upon learning that other clubs in the US were printing posters for their events, they decided that this was a necessity for their events as well. In early 1967 Michael English was introduced to Nigel Waymouth and the two agreed to work together designing posters for these promoters. The two first chose the name 'Cosmic Colors', but produced only one poster under that name. Next they chose the name 'Jacob and the Coloured Coat', but produced only two posters using that name

    Feb 15, 2007 by bev1107 | Posted in NASCAR

I m new to the sport I know most races use a qualifying race why is Daytona different, and how does it work

    • It is the only race in the world where you can race into the big race. About 60 cars try out. Only 43 are allowed in the field.

  • Avatar Eric Is there going to be a NASCAR Nextel cup track built in Colorado?
Jun 27, 2007 by Eric | Posted in NASCAR

The track between Springs and Pueblo was called PPIR (Pikes Peak Int l Raceway) is closed down. Something to due with management and not wainting to make improvements like barriers, etc. We only have I-25 speedway, like a 3/8 paved oval. It s good local racing, but it gets old. I at least want a good cup race around here.

    • The track just south of Colorado Springs that hosted Busch races was closed and the last I heard is that whoever buys it cannot open it up to racing again. Metro Denver also lost its only dirt track last yearI m going to miss that one BIG TIME. Last I heard was that there were several possible sites by Denver International Airport for a Nascar track. One has already been eliminated because of a SNOBBY subdivision miles away already complaining and taking up with City Council in meetings. This is the same subdivision who want to change their city name because they think it reflects poorly on …

  • Avatar Shelby!! Nascar Pit Passes During Practice?
Aug 31, 2009 by Shelby!! | Posted in NASCAR

So I notice how people are in the pits when the Nascar practice/qualifyings are going on. I also took note that this is the best time to meet the drivers (since they re so very busy on the actual race day and the ONLY hope you have of meeting them is garage passes, which are nearly impossible to get your hands on unless you know corporate sponsors.) Also, meet and greets are pretty hard to get to for Carl Edwards (this isn t the only reason for posting this, my other family members love the other drivers too), but if you go on driverappearances.com, he never has anything posted. I tried at the …

    • It depends on the track, but many have them available for sale just like tickets to the race. For example, I get pit passes for both race weekends at Michigan International Speedway every year. They cost $50 each and I get them the same time I renew my tickets. The pit pass gives me access to pit road for all three days and I can watch practice and qualifying from right behind the pit wall. Unfortunately it does not include access to the garage area, and the pits close one hour prior a race. However, most of the driver autographs I have gotten were on pit road during qualifying, and I ve gotten …
