Anybody in chicago have...

A cool empty-ish space? I'm looking for a place to hold a cocktail party in December. I'd love to be able to throw $200 bucks to an npo that could really use the money than rent from some douchebag corporate conglomerate.
I'm thinking cocktails for around 40.
This has become an annual event, an excuse to try to get random and diverse group of people into one room. It's not necessarily political in itself, but there's something amazing about seeing a republican pastor's son (lawyer) become friends with a liberal-as-hell atheist who just got back from the peace corps over a couple of well-mixed and well-color-coordinated cocktails

  • Avatar Carlisle Anyone know a central London venue with 8 rooms which can hold 50-100 people concurrently?

We’re looking in London, around March 2007. It may be that a large corporate /professional services co has a venue/spare space which we could use/adapt and host the event at theirs. Do you know any that may be suitable? Know anyone I could call and start asking the right questions?
